Pixel Farm: Pet & Chore Care

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 5 May 2026

1. Who we are

Pixel Farm: Pet & Chore Care (“the App”) is operated by RichX Software Solutions. The App is built so the data about your animals, chores, and routines stays on your device.

2. On-device data

Your zones, animals, chore schedules, history of completed chores, theme, and preferences are stored locally in an on-device database (Hive). They are never uploaded to our servers and never leave your device.

3. Information we collect

  • Anonymous crash reports and stability diagnostics via Google Firebase Crashlytics. These include device model, OS version, app version, and the stack trace of an error. They do not include your zone names, animal names, chore titles, or any other content you typed into the App.
  • Anonymous usage events via Google Firebase Analytics (e.g. “app opened”, “chore completed”, “zone added”). Events reference the species kind (e.g. “chicken”) but never the zone name, breed text, or any nickname you entered.
  • A random per-install identifier (Firebase App Instance ID) used so that, if you contact support, we can correlate your message with the recent crash + usage events from your install. This identifier resets if you uninstall and reinstall.
  • Locally stored preferences — onboarding completion flag, selected theme, pixel scale, showcase mode toggle, and the chore data described in section 2.

4. Information we do NOT collect

  • Your name, email address, phone number, or any other personally identifying information.
  • Your animals' names, breeds, photos, or any other content you typed into the App.
  • Your location.
  • Your contacts or social media accounts.
  • Your photos, microphone, or camera.

5. Permissions the App requests

  • Notification permission — used to remind you when a chore is due. We ask for this permission only the first time you turn on a chore reminder. You can revoke it any time in your device settings; the App keeps working without notifications.
  • Exact-alarm scheduling (Android) — used to fire chore reminders at the time you set, even if the device is otherwise idle.

Pixel Farm does not request access to your photo library, location, contacts, microphone, or camera.

6. Third-party services

We use Google Firebase (Crashlytics, Analytics) to keep the App stable and improve it. Firebase processes only the anonymous data described in section 3. Review Google's privacy information for Firebase for details.

7. Data retention

Anonymous crash and analytics data is retained by Firebase for the defaults set by Google (typically up to 14 months for event-level data). Locally stored preferences and chore history remain on your device until you delete them from within the App or uninstall it.

8. Children's privacy

Pixel Farm is rated for everyone and is suitable for use by children with parental supervision, but we do not knowingly collect any information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with data, please contact us and we will remove it.

9. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including the EEA, UK, California), you may have the right to access, correct, or delete the limited data described in section 3, and to object to its processing. Because we collect only anonymous diagnostic data tied to a random install ID, individual-level access requests are generally not technically possible — but you can stop all collection at any time by uninstalling the App.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
