Terms and Conditions

1. Acceptance of terms

By downloading, installing, or using CapSnap: AI Video Captions (“the App”) you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, do not use the App. The App is operated by RichX Software Solutions (“we”, “us”).

2. License

We grant you a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to install and use the App on a device that you own or control, subject to the rules of the store you obtained it from (Apple App Store). You own the videos you create with the App and may use the exported, captioned videos — including for commercial purposes — provided you hold the necessary rights to the underlying footage.

3. What the App does

CapSnap lets you pick a video from your photo library, transcribe the spoken audio on your device using an on-device speech model, edit the resulting captions (style, timing, per-word emphasis and animation, translation, transcript fixes), and export a new video with the burned-in captions back to your photo library or share it via the standard iOS share sheet. The transcription model, translation, and all editing run entirely on your device.

4. Free features and CapSnap Premium

The App is free to download and includes a free tier that lets you transcribe and edit in every supported language, use most caption styles, and export your videos. Free exports include a small “CapSnap” watermark, are capped to a limited number per day, and are limited to standard resolution.

CapSnap Premium is an optional paid subscription that removes the watermark, lifts the daily export limit, unlocks 4K / source-resolution export, and unlocks the full set of Pro caption styles and word animations. The specific benefits, the free daily export limit, and which features are included may change over time; the current benefits are always shown on the subscription screen inside the App before you purchase.

5. Subscriptions, payment, and auto-renewal

CapSnap Premium is offered as an auto-renewable subscription (for example weekly and yearly options, some of which may include an introductory free trial). Subscription length, price, and any free-trial terms are shown clearly on the subscription screen in your local currency before you confirm the purchase. Prices may vary by region and may change over time.

• Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
• The subscription automatically renews at the then-current price for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• Your Apple Account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
• You can manage your subscription and turn off auto-renewal at any time in your Apple Account settings. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period; you keep Premium access until then.
• If a free trial is offered and you do not cancel before it ends, it automatically converts to a paid subscription at the price shown. Any unused portion of a free trial is forfeited when you buy a subscription, where applicable.
• You can restore an active subscription on a new or reinstalled device using “Restore Purchases” on the subscription screen.

All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We never receive or store your payment-card details. Refunds are handled solely by Apple under the App Store terms and Apple's refund policy; we cannot directly issue refunds. Unless required by applicable consumer-protection law, subscription fees are non-refundable for periods already started.

Your use of a subscription is also governed by Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement (EULA).

6. Your content and responsibilities

The App processes video files you select from your device. You are solely responsible for the content you caption. You represent and warrant that you own the rights to that content or have permission from the rights holder. You must not use the App to caption material that is illegal, infringes third-party rights, depicts minors inappropriately, or otherwise violates applicable law.

7. Intellectual property

The App, its name, logo, icons, and underlying software are owned by RichX Software Solutions and are protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, reverse-engineer, or redistribute the App except as expressly permitted by law.

8. Prohibited uses

You agree not to (a) tamper with, decompile, or attempt to extract source code from the App, (b) attempt to bypass, disable, or circumvent the watermark, export limits, or subscription checks, (c) use the App to build a competing product, (d) use the App in any way that could damage, disable, overburden, or impair our services, or (e) attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the App or its related systems.

9. Third-party services

The App uses Google Firebase for anonymous crash reporting (Crashlytics), anonymous usage analytics (Analytics), and remote configuration of features such as the subscription screen (Remote Config). It uses Adapty to present subscription options and to validate and manage in-app purchases. Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store. No content of your videos, captions, or transcripts is ever sent to any of these services. See our Privacy Policy for details. Your use of the App is additionally subject to the terms of the store you downloaded it from and any applicable third-party terms.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The App is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law we disclaim all warranties, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that the transcript or translation produced by the on-device models is accurate.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, in no event shall RichX Software Solutions be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or goodwill arising out of your use of the App.

12. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your right to use the App at any time without notice if you breach these terms. You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. Uninstalling the App does not automatically cancel an active subscription — manage or cancel it in your Apple Account settings as described in section 5.

13. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Romania, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. Disputes shall be resolved in the competent courts of Satu Mare, Romania, unless otherwise required by consumer-protection law.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance.
